Throughout Hotel ICON you will encounter smiling and happy young people who you will recognize by their orange coloured name badges. These staff members are studying in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). As the world’s first fully integrated teaching and research hotel, wholly owned by PolyU and an extension of the School of Hotel & Tourism Management (SHTM), it stands as a testament to PolyU’s aspiration to be an innovative world-class university, advancing hospitality and tourism education and research. By giving them exposure to all areas of the hotel we are training them to be future hospitality leaders.
