Owned by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and as an extension the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM), it exemplifies the fusion of accommodation with pioneering training and research.
Commemorating 12 Years of Excellence
On 1 November 2023, the 12th anniversary celebration of Hotel ICON unfolded beneath the verdant embrace of Asia's largest indoor vertical garden at GREEN restaurant within the teaching hotel. This milestone event wasn't merely a reflection of the past; it was a testament to the enduring spirit of innovation, growth, and commitment that has characterized Hotel ICON's journey. Members of the Board of Directors from Hotel ICON and guests from PolyU, as well as patrons and industry partners, joined this momentous occasion.

Welcoming the New General Manager
In conjunction with the 12th anniversary celebration, PolyU and Hotel ICON Board of Directors appointed Mr. Ian Lee as the new General Manager of Hotel ICON as of 1 November 2023. Ian commenced his tenure at Hotel ICON as one of its pioneering members, holding the position of Director of Finance & Administration from its inaugural opening. Demonstrating exceptional leadership and dedication, he advanced to the role of Assistant General Manager in 2019. Before his appointment as General Manager, he was the Acting General Manager of the hotel since 2022. |
