Lan Kwai Fong Carnival
For locals and visitors alike, few destinations in Hong Kong rival the party atmosphere of the city’s Lan Kwai Fong (LKF) district smack in the middle of Central.
Day and night the streets, restaurants, bars and clubs are filled with crowds bent on one thing only – a great time and a party to remember.
Few excuses are needed to kick back, but there are times throughout the year when partygoers go that little bit longer and harder – Christmas, Hallowee’n and New Year are all popular, but an event growing in popularity and stature has been the LKF Carnival.
This year, the LKF Carnival takes place from morning to late night over two days, Saturday November 19 and Sunday November 20. And it’s a special one as 2016 marks the 15th anniversary, celebrated with a fresh face-lift, taking a leap away from its previous funfair-style traditions and embracing the interactive digital era. |
The new edition of this long-standing event has even integrated an app that evolves carnival-style games into interactive digital fun. More than 50 booths provide international delicacies, drinks, confectionery, toys and collectibles and stage games to excite everyone attending. Visitors can also take selfies in front of the decorated LKF street signs.
